November 21, 2020, As The Human Solution International, expands on its mission by seeking new opportunities to engage in community-based civil and human rights work we were given the opportunity to partner with United Boxing academy, Kokonola quality therapeutics, and the Union of Domestic workers to provide more than 500 meals and toys to the community of Moreno Valley. The Human Solution combined forces with The wave foundation and Food Fleet to bring a truck piloted by Bobby Rodrigo, Oregon THSi Chapter with more than 12 pallets of food including more than 2000lb of fish, chicken, and other meat as well as salmon jerky, cheese, fruit, onions potatoes, green beans and much more. Kokonola organized the lion’s share of the toys donated along with United Boxing Academy and Umoja cultural club from Norco college. Kokonola and UDW predominantly orchestrated the turkeys and the “In His Steps” foundation provided volunteers and food preparation for the homeless to eat meals freshly grilled on-site. Before Dawn, the Volunteers from THSI, United Boxing Academy, and Kokonola began to set up the site, setting up barricades, unloading and staging food, and setting up tables and canopies. Before 9 am, many volunteers began to arrive and prepare food bags, etc. The event was not scheduled to begin until 10 am and as it happened, the Turkeys were not going to make it until 11 am. By 10 am, cars were lined up about fifty yards from the staging area and soon the line wound along a huge parking lot and into the main road all totaling nearly half a mile. At long last, the turkeys arrived and the cars began to roll forward. Dozens of volunteers were ready to distribute toys, bags of food and finally, a full turkey was to community members that had been patiently waiting. The Human Solution had a table set up as well and distributed brochures to every car and engaged many during the day, Representatives from the UDW were present and one of them, an attorney from New York spoke of the possibility of participating in our developing Legal Clinic we have been working on for some time. Several professional fighters including MMA, Jujitsu, and boxers participated as volunteers along with current Champion Boxer Mikey Garcia coming and signing autographs and taking pictures with the guests. All totaled, more than 400 families received food and toys, and more importantly, hope in trying times. First, on the scene and last to leave, The Human Solution International is committed to working with other nonprofits to preserve and protect human rights and to be a solution in these trying times! We’re always looking for volunteers and partners so please visit our website for more information http://thsintl.org
